I grew up in a small farming community in Iowa and earned my business degree at Iowa State University. Then I moved to Phoenix and made my debut in real estate as a mortgage loan officer for Citicorp, specializing in jumbo loans for luxury homebuyers in North Scottsdale. Back then, the deal started at the money, and I learned the escrow process from the inside out.

After gaining ten years of knowledge and experience, I started my own independent mortgage broker business with a small team of hand-picked professionals who worked hard every day to master their loan product knowledge and become experts at walking the client through escrow.

In 2011, I traded my mortgage broker's license for a real estate license and became a full-time Realtor. With close to three thousand escrows under my belt, I became a certified instructor at the Arizona School of Real Estate and Business in 2015. A short time later I obtained my real estate broker's license and became a Managing Broker at a medium-sized brokerage in Scottsdale. In early 2019, I joined the broker department at HomeSmart as a Consulting Broker, and today I represent buyers and sellers as an Associate Broker with My Home Group.

Being another Realtor who just sells houses is a pet peeve of mine. I sell representation, and my business is people, not property. I mostly work on direct referrals from past clients rather than chasing leads, and that is exactly how I like it.
